It's been six months since I posted last.
I didnt get to Crossville for the Sonex flyin that was mostly weathered out again. I have had some flying activities however. In November, I had my flight review with fellow chapter member and Sonex builder(sold for a share in a Pitts!) Dan Walton.
I did have the plane out a few times over the winter but not much. Looking forward to the warmer weather coming up.
i have gotten a lot of building done on the RV-14A. The fuselage is mostly done and the finishing kit is expected in April. I have met a fellow RV-14A builder who has just moved his project to the Chicago area from New York. He helped me do some of the initial riveting of the fuselage and tail cone joint.
I also had help on the new plane from another EAA member I've met through my talks at the Great Lakes Sonex flyin at Clow, southwest of Chicago. He helped me finish up some tough rivets on the fuselage section and assisted finishing the rivets on the fuselage and tail cone joint.
